Established in 2000 in the San Francisco Bay area, MLA Events opened its doors and quickly became an industry leading event planning and management company serving corporate organizations, nonprofit associations, and individuals.  Mark Leonardi, Director and founder of MLA Events, has 20 years of hotel and conference management experience, and utilizes this expertise in the negotiations and planning process. 

By bringing together a network of service providers, experienced staff, unique venues both in Napa Valley and across the nation, we approach each program with your specific needs and budget. Our staff is highly experienced with planning and operating small, medium, and large size conferences, special events, and meetings.  Our first hand knowledge of what it takes to coordinate your needs is reflected in our experience.

Our experience overseeing practical event design and production has aided in the creation of corporate events, special events, meetings, product launches, and trade shows in Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Mexico, Hawaii, Boston, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington DC, and London.

Mark Leonardi, CMP & Director

Mark Leonardi has 20 years of experience in the meeting planning and hotel industry.  Mark has held positions as Conference Director for the Claremont Resort & Spa in Berkeley, California, Conference Manager for the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California and Director of Events for Net Market Makers, a start-up business-to-business company, where Mark produced executive conferences both in the United States and abroad.  Mark founded MLA Events in 2000 with the goal of utilizing his experience and industry relationships to develop and produce successful events and offer exceptional service for our clients. Mark understands the needs of both the organization and facility and is able to nurture a partnership to negotiate favorable rates and pass these savings onto your company.  He understands the importance of an intimate conference and the ability for the participants to interact, share, and cultivate individual relationships, while helping the organization adjust to growth. Mark is a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) since 1997 and holds a B.A. degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Hospitality Management.
